Technicolor Windowpane

Technicolor windowpane
Accidental art on the outskirts of Jinguashi.

Last summer, on my first trip to Ruìfāng 瑞芳, I went wandering through the rural roads sprawling along the mountainside just outside of town, alert for signs of abandonment and adventure. Down one side street I found a low row of abandoned homes with sunken rooftops and wildly painted walls. This particular window jumped out at me, a prime example of accidental art in the wilds of northern Taiwan.
