Jíjí (集集) is a small town in Nantou county famous for having been almost completely destroyed in the 921 Earthquake. It has recently been transformed into a typical Taiwanese tourist town complete with an "old street" and a variety of tacky attractions, few of which I found particularly interesting apart from the ruins of Wuchang temple. Jiji is accessible via the eponymous Jiji Line.
