This is one last memento of my monthlong stay near Gongguan Station 公館站 in the fall of 2015. Pictured here is the sign forest opposite the main entrance to National Taiwan University 國立臺灣大學, better known simply as Táidà 台大. Usually this intersection would be too busy to stop and take such a photography—but in the glimmering dawn the streets were still and empty. Chasing sleepless nights, insomnia my old friend, occasionally leaves me with something worth saving. These garish buildings aren’t aesthetically appealing, particularly not to someone with strong views about advertising and the regulation of public space, but I like this scene anyway. Maybe I need more rest.
