Kaohsiung 高雄

Kaohsiung 高雄 (pinyin: Gāoxióng) is Taiwan's great southern metropolis. Much of it is an industrial wasteland but there are parts that remain unspoiled, especially in the rural hinterland to the northeast, as well as a number of interesting historic sites in Qijin, Fongshan, Qishan, and Meinong.
